Harmony Take (Cheese Sessions, Spring 1976)

Somewhere between harmony take #14 and "let's just do one more," Margo Rae and Larkin June leaned into a single microphone and accidentally created one of the signature sounds of Cheese. Bud always claimed the best harmonies happened when there wasn't enough equipment to give everyone their own mic. Nobody ever argued with the results.

Late Night at Bud Bungalow (Link Lloyd Sessions, Spring 1972)

This rare late-night snapshot captures Link Lloyd's crew unwinding between takes during the Lake Side of the Loon sessions. Coffee flowed, guitars kept wandering into new songs, and nobody seemed in a hurry to go home. Like most great Bud Bungalow moments, the best parts happened after someone said, "Let's call it a night."
