LAKE SIDE OF THE LOON

Link Lloyd (1972)

Before Pink Floyd, there was Link Lloyd.

One trip too many. "I'm pretty sure that was a loon..." was what people were saying.

Northern Ontario, 1972.

Pressed in small numbers and quietly forgotten, Lake Side of the Loon became one of the most elusive records in Canadian underground music history. A cold prism of light cuts through the darkness while a lone loon drifts beneath it—familiar, but slightly off, as though remembered from a dream.

No chart history.
No reissues.
No interviews.

Just one of those records that feels like it shouldn't exist... but somehow does.

Recovered from the Bud Bungalow Archives.

About the Album

Lake Side of the Loon is a fictional album release from Link Lloyd, part of the Bud Bungalow Lost Pressings collection. Inspired by classic progressive rock album art, Northern Ontario cottage country, loons, lakes, forests, and the culture of discovering forgotten records, the design imagines an alternate music history where Canada's most mysterious underground artist recorded one unforgettable album and then vanished without a trace.

Like all Lost Pressings releases, the album never existed.

The story does.

Printed on a soft, lightweight tri-blend with a worn-in feel and a clean, durable finish. Pre-shrunk with a regular fit that wears easy and holds its shape. Made to order to reduce overproduction—because pieces like this aren't meant to sit around.
